No ads or sale

NexCam ships no advertising or analytics SDKs and sells no data.

Cloud only by choice

Sticker downloads and Gemini generation run only after you start them.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the NexCam Android and iOS apps and the public NexCam product pages operated by NextEra.One. It is written to explain how the app accesses, uses, stores and shares user data for Google Play review and for people using the app.

Core camera, gallery and editing features do not require a NexCam account. An email confirmation is required only if you choose to connect to the optional Nex sticker service.

2. Data NexCam accesses or stores on your device

NexCam accesses data only for the features users would expect from this app.

Data type Purpose Where it is stored
Camera and microphone Show the viewfinder and capture photos or video, including audio when enabled. Captured media is written to device storage.
Photos, videos and editing data View, group, archive, crop, adjust, decorate and trim media, or save a video frame as a photo. Device media storage and app-local metadata.
App settings and credentials Remember capture, appearance and service choices; protect optional Gemini and sticker credentials. Local app storage on your device.
Downloaded sticker packs Make stickers available in the live camera and photo/video editor. Decrypted only into NexCam's private app storage after integrity verification.

3. Data collected by NextEra.One

NexCam does not operate an advertising, analytics or media-sync backend and does not automatically upload your camera roll. If you use the optional sticker service, NextEra.One processes your email address, one-time-code challenge records, a generated device identifier, platform and app/device-attestation results. It also stores hashed or otherwise protected session and download-grant records needed to authenticate the device, prevent abuse and deliver packs. Confirmation codes and token secrets are not stored in plain text by the service.

The NexCam website and sticker service receive ordinary connection and security-log information, such as IP address, request time, user agent and requested route. Logs are used to operate and secure those services, not to build an advertising profile.

4. Data sharing and user-initiated transfers

NexCam does not sell personal and sensitive user data. Data can leave your device in these user-initiated cases:

  • When you share or export media, the destination app or service receives the item you select.
  • When you tap Generate, NexCam sends the selected image frame, your prompt and generation settings to Google's Gemini API. Google processes that request and temporarily makes the generated video available for delivery under its own terms and privacy policy.
  • Your Gemini API key is sent to Google to authorize your requests. NexCam stores it in private device storage and does not send it to NextEra.One.
  • When you request sticker packs, NexCam exchanges authentication, catalog and encrypted-pack data with the NextEra.One sticker service. Sticker media from your camera roll is not part of that exchange.
  • Google Play and Apple may process store, purchase, diagnostics or distribution data under their own policies when you obtain or use the app through their services.

5. Permissions

NexCam asks for Android or iOS permissions only when needed for a feature.

  • Camera: capture photos and video
  • Microphone: record audio with video
  • Photos and media: import, display, edit, save and share media you select
  • Notifications: show alerts where supported and enabled

6. Retention and deletion

  • Photos and videos remain on your device until you delete them in NexCam, remove them through the operating system, or erase the device.
  • App settings, group/archive metadata, downloaded sticker packs and private credentials remain until you clear or replace them, sign out where applicable, clear app storage, or uninstall NexCam. Operating-system backups may follow your device backup settings.
  • Sticker authentication challenges and grants have short validity periods. Verified account/device, security and entitlement records may remain while the sticker service is active and as reasonably needed for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance and service operation.
  • Signing out revokes the device's sticker session and removes its downloaded packs from NexCam. To request deletion of server-side sticker account data, contact the address below.
  • Google controls retention of Gemini requests and generated output under the Google service and account terms you use.

7. Security

NexCam uses platform permissions and app-private storage. Sticker sessions are bound to a verified device where supported; downloadable packs use short-lived, one-use grants, authenticated encryption and signed manifests. No system can guarantee absolute security. Protect your device and API keys, install updates, and revoke a key if you believe it has been exposed.

8. Children

NexCam is a general-purpose camera and is not directed to children. A parent or guardian should supervise a child's use of online generation and sticker-service features and any third-party account or API key involved.

9. Changes and contact

NextEra.One may update this policy when NexCam changes how it handles data. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.

Privacy and deletion contact: privacy@nextera.one. Include "NexCam", your platform and, for sticker-service requests, the email address you used.
